In the early years Icon discovered his passion for drawing and his interest in fine arts. After graduating from art school he made his living from painting in bars and designing religious icons (which eventually earned him his nickname).

His interest in tattooing came in 2001. Living in Budapest / Hungary at that time he was influenced by the Hungarian tattoo scene and also learned the basic skills of tattooing there. Icon gained some experience by working various Hungarian tattoo shops before he decided to move back to Transylvania.

There he opened a shop called Bizzzarttattoo in Cluj together with his business partner Attila. After 6 years it was time for another change and Icon decided to move to Holland where he is still working today. In his opinion everyone deserves an individual design and that is what he is devoted on.

His favourite styles are photo-realistic, horror, fantasy, biomechanics and some kind of traditional tattoos, however not including tribals, scripts, old-school, hearts etc. A personal talk with the artist makes work easier and improves the results, so if you are interested in getting tattooed by Icon you are always welcome to get in touch.
